Nile Show News

Dbl Gr Ch NILE ARGANTE — This Tawny son of Nat Sh Ch, CCCA Tpl Gr Ch & Dmd Dbl Gr Ch Nile Phantom Of Hope and Gr Ch Nile Red Pepper, was born in July 2010. Archie, as he is known, started his show career with a bang at the Federal kitten show in early February - he was Supreme Kitten out of nearly 150. Since then, he got a Best Gr 3 Kitten at the Canberra Royal, and again at the Siamese & SH show in Sydney, two rings of the Royal Goulburn show, and two rings of the Royal Easter show. He has found the going a bit tougher as a young cat, but still managed a Best Gr 3 Cat placing at the Canberra Birman show, and several top-5 placings since. At the Federal show in mid June, Archie was Best Gr 3 Cat in one ring, out of 49, and gained one 2nd place (out of 108) at the subsequent CCCA National show. He was then Supreme Exhibit (out of 237) at Western Districts in late July, becoming a "Grand" in the process.

Dbl Gr Ch NILE GHOST RIDER — is a Cinnamon male born a week after Archie; he has the same sire while his dam is Dbl Gr Ch Osiris(V) Sioux City Sue. When it comes to showing, Ghostie has the disadvantage of not being Tawny, and so he didn't start quite as well  as Archie. However, he did get a Best Gr 3 Male kitten at the Royal Goulburn show, and a Best Gr 3 Male Cat at the Siamese Cat Society show in May, at which he went on to be Supreme Gr 3 Exhibit out of over 80. Ghostie was also Best Gr 3 Cat in one ring at the Federal.

CCCA Ch & Sil Dbl Gr Ch Nile HOLLY GHOST  Holly is Ghostie's litter sister, but being Tawny, doesn't have his colour "disadvantage". She first got noticed at the Canberra Royal in February, where she was Best Gr 3 Kitten and Exhibit in two out of three rings. At the Siamese & SH show she was Best Gr 3 Kitten in one ring, and R/U to Supreme Kitten out of nearly 80. At the Goulburn Royal, Holly was Best Gr 3 Female Kitten in all three rings, and Best Gr 3 Exhibit out of 60-odd in one of them. As a cat, Holly got a Best Gr 3 Cat at the Canberra Birman show, and despite some tough opposition, did well at the Newcastle show in early June, where she was Best Gr 3 Cat  in one ring and 4th all-breed cat (out of nearly 100) across the three rings. She was Best Gr 3 Female Cat out of 28 in one ring of the Federal show in June. At the St George show in late July, Holly was best Gr 3 Female Cat in two rings, and went on to be R/U to Best all-breed cat, out of over 100. The, at the Tamworth show in late August, she was Best Gr 3 Female cat in two rings and R/U in the other. At the Highlands show in early October, Holly was best Gr 3 Female Cat in two rings, and went on to be Best all-breed cat, out of nearly 90, as well as Supreme Gr 3 Exhibit out of over 50.

Dbl Gr Ch KEMENKAT WIND DANCER — Winnie, our Tawny girl from Christchurch, was Gr 3 Female Kitten of the Year in 2010, and then had a lovely litter to Phantom. She has returned to the show bench, and in fierce competition with Holly and others, has managed a best in show at each of the two shows she has attended, The Siamese Cat Society show in May and the Newcastle show in June. Winnie, too, was Best Gr 3 Female cat in one ring of the Federal show.

NILE RANGIORA — "Red Rat", as he is affectionately known,  comes from the last litter sired by Nat Sh Ch, CCCA Tpl Gr Ch & Dmd Dbl Gr Ch Nile Phantom Of Hope,  his mum being Dbl Gr Ch Kemenkat Wind Dancer (Imp NZ). Born in March 2011, he started his show career at the CCCA National Show in mid July, where he was Best Gr 3 kitten out of 100+ in one ring, and placed in the top 5 in four other rings.
