In Melbourne:-

Sue Jentsch's Tawny male kitten, Osiris(V) Fast Talker did well at the end-of-season Chandler Tribute show on 5 December by being Best Gr 3 Kitten (out of 23) in two of the rings and runner-up in the 3rd ring. He comes from a mating of Dbl Gr Ch Highgaitpaws Have A Chat (Imp USA) and CCCA Gr Ch & Sapph Gr Ch Osiris(V) Running Bear.

 

In Melbourne:-

Kaylie Goodrick scored a kind of quadruple at the Ballarat Ag. Show on 14 November, where her Tawny neuter, CCCA Ch & Dbl Gr PN Narleekatz Huey was Best Gr 3 Desexed Cat (out of 5) in all four rings, and Best Gr 3 Exhibit (out of 45) in one of them. A "frequent offender" on this page, Huey comes from a mating of CCCA Dbl Gr Ch & Gold Dbl Gr Ch Johari All That Jazz & Osiris(V) Sweet Influence.
 

 

In Melbourne:-

Sue Jentsch scored a double at the Ballarat Ag. Show on 14 November. He is show below left. .As well, her Tawny Female Cat, CCCA Ch & Sil Gr Ch Osiris(V) Prada, was Best Gr 3 Cat (out of 23) in two rings, and also Best Gr 3 Exhibit (out of 45) in one of the rings. Prada was bred by Sue from Dbl Gr Ch Osiris(V) Heart N Soul and CCCA Ch & Sil Gr Ch Osiris(V) Running Bear. She is shown below right

     

 

In Melbourne:-

Also at the New Breeds Cat Club (Halloween)  show on 31 October, Sue Jentsch's Tawny Female, CCCA Ch & Sil Gr Ch Osiris(V) Prada, was Best Gr 3 Cat (out of 29) in one ring, and second in the other. Where she was first, she was also Best Gr 3 Exhibit (out of 61), and Best Overall cat out of 67. Prada was bred by Sue from Dbl Gr Ch Osiris(V) Heart N Soul and CCCA Ch & Sil Gr Ch Osiris(V) Running Bear.

 

In Melbourne:-

At the New Breeds Cat Club (Halloween)  show on 31 October, Kaylie Goodrick's Tawny Neuter, CCCA Ch & Dbl Gr Pr Narleekatz Huey, was Best Gr 3 Desexed Cat (out of 11) in both rings. He was bred by Kaylie from CCCA Dbl Gr Ch & Gold Dbl Gr Ch Johari All That Jazz & Osiris(V) Sweet Influence.

 

In Port Pirie, SA:-

Finishing off the show season in style, Lori Fergusson's Tawny Somali neuter, CCCA Ch & Gold Dbl Gr Pr Vivace El Tigre De Oro, was Best Gr 3 Desexed Cat (out of 12) in one of the two rings at the Mid-Northern Valleys show on 10 October. El Tigre was bred by Evelyn & Rita Bruche, from Gold Dbl Gr Ch Vivace Virtuoso and Ikati Big Spender.

 

Near Sydney:-

At our last show of the year, the Highlands Cat Club show at Hill Top, on 9 October. Ben White & Wendy Newton's young Tawny female,  Swift Glamour Cat, was Best Gr 3 Female kitten (out of 15) in two rings and 2nd ring. She went on to be Best Gr 3 Kitten (out of 19) in one ring, and 6th all-breed kitten overall out of 49. Glamour is from Swift Rock The Kasbah and Brz Gr Ch Swift Djemila. 

 

In Sydney:-

Aby cats had a fine time at the Blue Point Siamese show on 2 October. Ben White & Wendy Newton's Tawny male, CCCA Gr Ch & Gold Dbl Gr Ch Johari All That Jazz was Best Gr 3 Male Cat (out of 14) in all three rings, and became a CCCA Dbl Gr Ch on the day. Jazzy was bred by Carol Collins from Dbl Gr Ch Tijah Trail Blazer and Gr Ch Johari Spirit Of Kenya, and is show below left. George & Julie Kennedy's Tawny female, Ch Kemenkat Wind Dancer (Imp NZ),  was Best Gr 3 Female Cat (out of 21) in two of the rings and went on to be Best Gr 3 Cat (out of 36) in both; She became a Gr Ch on the day. Winnie was bred by Gail Warwick in Christchurch, from (UK) Gr Ch & Gold Dbl Gr Ch Riverfern Eagle Warrior (Imp UK) and Dbl Gr Ch Nile Morganite (Imp AUS), and is shown below right.

       

 

In Adelaide:-

Lori Fergusson's Tawny Somali neuter, CCCA Ch & Gold Dbl Gr Pr Vivace El Tigre De Oro, has earned another appearance on this page  by being Best Gr 3 Desexed Cat (out of 21) in one ring of the Siamese show on 27 September. El Tigre was bred by Evelyn & Rita Bruche, from Gold Dbl Gr Ch Vivace Virtuoso and Ikati Big Spender.

 

In Brisbane and Melbourne:-

Merindalee Fortune Teller, Eileen & Karel Pittaway's Tawny male kitten, has certainly continued his purple patch (see also four items down) in September. At the QFA show in Brisbane on 11/12 September, he was Best Gr 3 Kitten (out of 29) in three rings, 2nd in two rings and 4th in the other ring. He then went on to be Best Gr 3 Exhibit (out of 74). He is shown below left, with handler Sandra Doyle and NZ judge Peter Hanley.

Just a few day and kilometres later, at the Royal Melbourne Show on 19 September, Teller was Best Gr 3 Kitten (also out of 29) in one of the three rings, and 3rd in a second ring. He is shown below right with Eileen Pittaway. He was bred from Fin Bheara's Fortune's Hand (Imp USA) and Merindalee What Ever.

     

 

In Adelaide:-

Lori Fergusson also had a fine time at the Cavalcade of Cats show on 19 September. Her Tawny Somali neuter, CCCA Ch & Gold Dbl Gr Pr Vivace El Tigre De Oro, was Best Gr 3 Desexed Cat (out of 15) in one ring, while her Silver Somali Spay, Dbl Gr Pr Vivace Mi Querida, was best in the other ring. Mi Querida was bred by Evelyn & Rita Bruche from Gr Ch Vivace Sun King and Glenmaulyn Musicale, and is shown below left. El Tigre was also bred by Evelyn & Rita, from Gold Dbl Gr Ch Vivace Virtuoso and Ikati Big Spender. He is shown below right with judge (and subscriber!) Kathryn Hill

     

 

In Adelaide:-

"Monkey Boy II" distinguished himself at the Cavalcade of Cats show on 19 September. More formally known as Vivace Dionysus, this Tawny male was Best Gr 3 Kitten (out of 12) in one ring and 2nd in the other ring. He is owned by Evelyn and Rita Bruche, and was bred by them from CCCA Ch & Gold Dbl Gr Ch Vivace Orpheus and Dbl Gr Ch Merindalee Mardi Gras.

 

In Melbourne:-

At the "BOSH"  show on 12 September, Gr Pr Narleekatz Huey was Best Desexed Cat (out of 12) in both rings. A Tawny neuter bred by Kaylie, he became a Dbl Gr Pr on the day.

 

In Melbourne:-

At The Australian Cat Club's show on 5 September, Eileen & Karel Pittaway's Tawny female cat, Ch Merindalee Tippytoes, was Best Gr 3 Cat (out of 22) in one of the two rings. She comes from a mating of Fin Bheara's Fortune's Hand (Imp USA) and Ch Fin Bheara's California Rose (Imp USA); she is shown below left. The Pittaways' Tawny male kitten, Merindalee Fortune Teller, did one better, and was Best Gr 3 Kitten (out of 12) in both rings. His sire was also Fin Bheara's Fortune's Hand (Imp USA), while his dam was Merindalee What Ever. He is shown below right, with judge Anne Bourke

     

 

In Sydney:-

At the CFA "No Frills" show on 4 September, George & Julie Kennedy's Tawny female, Kemenkat Wind Dancer (Imp NZ) was Best Gr 3 Female Cat (out of 22) at two of the three rings, and in one of them, went on to be best Gr 3 Cat (out of 39). Winnie was bred by Gail Warwick, from (UK) Gr Ch & Gold Dbl Gr Ch Riverfern Eagle Warrior (Imp UK) and Dbl Gr Ch Nile Morganite (Imp AUS), and she became a Champion on the day. In Melbourne:-

Somalis made a welcome reappearance in the winners' circle when Dale Plummer's Cinnamon Somali, Ikati Jengo was Best Gr 3 Kitten (out of 23) and Best Gr 3 Exhibit (out of 42) in one of the two rings at the Sunshine show. He was bred in Queensland by Janet Chrobok from Shilabo Seppel Somali and Vivace Gone Troppo.

 

In Brisbane:-

Michael Shawn's Tawny female, Osiris(V) Influencedtothrill, aka Pixie, has certainly not let grass grow under her paws since recently becoming an adult. Having already received two Supreme in Show awards (see a few entries below), she has now excelled herself at the 2-ring Royal Brisbane Show on 8-9 August. She was best Gr 3 Cat (out of 18) under both the NZ and Japanese judges, and went on to be s Supreme All Breeds Exhibit in show (out of 143). Pixie was bred by Sue Jentsch from Ch Osiris(V) Aussie Dream and Nat Sh Ch & Gold Gr Ch Osiris(V) Influenced Buyou.



Near Sydney:-

George & Julie Kennedy's Tawny female, Kemenkat Wind Dancer (Imp NZ), became a cat two days before the Central Coast show on 8 August, at which she was Best Gr 3 Cat (out of 25) at one of the three rings. Winnie was bred by Gail Warwick, from (UK) Gr Ch & Gold Dbl Gr Ch Riverfern Eagle Warrior (Imp UK) and Dbl Gr Ch Nile Morganite (Imp AUS)

 

In Melbourne:-

Finally at the the Royal Thai show on 8 August, Sue Jentsch's Tawny female,, Osiris(V) Diamonds N Gold,  was Best Gr 3 Kitten in one of the three rings (out of 20)  and went on to be Best Gr 3 Exhibit across the three rings (out of 72). She comes from a mating of Gold Gr Ch Osiris(V) Cool Running and Tijash Influence.

 

 

In Melbourne:-

Also at the the Royal Thai show on 8 August, Kaylie Goodrick & Sue Jentsch's Tawny male,, Gr Ch Highgaitpaws Have A Chat (Imp USA),  was Best Gr 3 Cat (out of 36) in one of the three rings, and went on to be R/U to Best Gr 3 Exhibit across the three rings (out of 72). Chat was bred by Mindy Condon from Highgaitpaws Taqkachance Marzacknoand  Highgaitpaws Rumor Has It.

 

 

In Melbourne:-

At the Royal Thai show on 8 August, Kaylie Goodrick's Tawny neuter, Gr Pr Narleekatz Huey,  was Best Gr 3 Desexed Cat in one of the three rings (out of 7. Huey was bred by Kaylie from CCCA Gr Ch & Sil Dbl Gr Ch Johari All That Jazz and Osiris(V) Sweet Influence.

 

In Brisbane:-

Also at the at the QICC show on 1 August,  Michael Shawn's "Pixie" was Best SH Cat (out of 35) in one ring, and Supreme SH Exhibit (out of 85). Officially known as Osiris(V) Influencedtothrill, this Tawny female was bred by Sue Jentsch from Ch Osiris(V) Aussie Dream and Nat Sh Ch & Gold Gr Ch Osiris(V) Influenced Buyou. Her most recent photo appears 5 items below.

 

In Brisbane:-

Christine Mangin's Blue Neuter kitten, Zinnabar Bodacious In Blue,  was Best SH Kitten in one ring and 2nd in two others (out of 37 kittens & 4 rings) at the QICC show on 1 August. Bodie was bred by Kerstin Jones from Dbl Gr Ch Asmara Sun And Steel and Zinnabar Cinnamon Kisses.

 

In Sydney:-

Ben White & Wendy Newton's Tawny male, CCCA Gr Ch & Gold Dbl Gr Ch Johari All That Jazz – no stranger to this page – was Best Gr 3 Male Cat (out of 21) and Best Gr 3 Cat (out of 38) in one of the three rings at the Western Districts Cat Soc Show on 24 July. Jazzy was bred by Carol Collins from Dbl Gr Ch Tijah Trail Blazer and Gr Ch Johari Spirit Of Kenya.

 

In Adelaide:-

Lori Fergusson's Tawny Somali Neuter, CCCA Ch & Gold Dbl Gr Ch El Tigre De Oro, is back again, this time because he was Bert Gr 3 Desexed Cat  (out of 21) in two of the three rings of the FASA Annual show on 18 July. He was bred by Evelyn & Rita Bruche from Gold Dbl Gr Ch Vivace Virtuoso and Ikati Big Spender.

 

In Melbourne:-

Kaylie Goodrick's Tawny neuter, Gr Pr Narleekatz Huey, popped up at the GCCFV Winter Follies show on 18 July, where he was 2ndr Gr 3 Desexed cat in one ring and Best in the other two (out of 7), and went on to be Best Gr 3 Exhibit (out of 71) in one of these rings. Huey was bred by Kaylie from CCCA Gr Ch & Sil Dbl Gr Ch Johari All That Jazz and Osiris(V) Sweet Influence.

 

In Brisbane:-

At the CFCCQ Kitty Carnivale show on 18 July, Michael Shawn's Tawny female, Osiris(V) Influencedtothrill announced her presence as a cat, coming Best Gr 3 Cat (out of 30) and Supreme Exhibit (out of 123) in one ring of the 3-ring show, She was bred by Sue Jentsch in Melbourne from Ch Osiris(V) Aussie Dream and Nat Sh Ch & Gold Gr Ch Osiris(V) Influenced Buyou.

 

In Sydney:-

Winnie was "at it" again, at the St George Cat Club's show on 11 July. That is, G. & J. Kennedy's Tawny female, Kemenkat Wind Dancer (Imp NZ) [see details below], was Best Gr 3 Female kitten in all three rings (out of 28), and went on to be 2nd all-breed kitten (out of 75).

 

In Melbourne:-

Making his debut on this page is Kaylie Goodrick's Tawny male kitten, Narleekatz Aussie Influence, who was Best Gr 3 kitten in one ring and 2nd in the other ring (out of 30) at Top Cats show on 27 June. Kaylie bred him from Ch Osiris(V) Aussie Dream and Ch Osiris(V) Sweet Influence.

 

In Sydney:-

At the 80th Federal Cat Club's show on 20 June, G. & J. Kennedy's Tawny female, Kemenkat Wind Dancer (Imp NZ), was Best Gr 3 Female kitten in two rings and second in the 3rd ring (out of 27). She went on to be 7th overall kitten (out of 110) Winnie was bred in Christchurch by Gail Warwick, from (UK) Gr Ch & Gold Dbl Gr Ch Riverfern Eagle Warrior (Imp UK) and Dbl Gr Ch Nile Morganite (Imp AUS)

 

In Adelaide:-

Gina Edmiston, who showed a bit in Melbourne, has resurfaced in her home town of Adelaide, where she has moved with family and at least one cat. The cat in question is a Tawny Aby neuter, Osiris(V) Ra Azizi, who just happened to be Best Desexed Cat (out of 13) in one of the two rings of the Persian Breeders show on 6 June. I will now make the bold forecast that "Azzy" will turn up on this page again before too long. He was bred by Sue Jentsch from Gr Ch Rififi of Wonderlove (Imp GER) and Osiris(V) Lady Victoria, and is shown below with the judge who put him up, long-time Aby breeder Greg Little.

 

In Brisbane:-

Michael Shawn's Aby girls did very well at the QICC show on 6 June. The Tawny kitten, Osiris(V) Influencedtothrill was Best SH Kitten (out of 20) in all three rings. She was bred by Sue Jentsch in Melbourne from Osiris(V) Aussie Dream and Nat Sh Ch & Gold Gr Ch Osiris(V) Influenced Buyou, and is show below left with Michael. His Cinnamon cat, Gold Dbl Gr Ch Jodaerin Cinnamon Spice, was Best SH Cat (out of 20) in one ring. She was bred by Helen Norwood in Perth, from Gr Ch Johari At First Sight and Jodaerin Say A Little Prayer, and is shown below right.


     

 

In Newcastle, NSW:-

Johari Just In Time, Carol Collins's Tawny male kitten, really excelled himself at the Newcastle & Hunter Valley show on 5 June. He was best Gr 3 Male kitten in two rings out of three (out of 10), and in one of these rings he was best Overall Gr 3 Kitten (out of 37). He the went on to be Supreme Exhibit in show out of 176. Justin is from Sil Dbl Gr Ch Tijah Trail Blazer and Gr Ch Johari Spirit Of Kenya; he has been on this page several times already, and it will be very hard to stop him from appearing several more times :-)


 

In Newcastle, NSW:-

Also at the Newcastle & Hunter Valley show on 5 June, and also making a rte-appearance on this page, George & Julie Kennedy's Tawny female kitten, Kemenkat Wind Dancer (Imp NZ), was best Gr 3 Female kitten (out of 24) in one of the three rings. Bred by Gail Warwick (UK) Gr Ch & Gold Dbl Gr Ch Riverfern Eagle Warrior (Imp UK) & Dbl Gr Ch Nile Morganite, "Winnie" is show below with steward Christine Kindred and judge Denis Turner.


 

In Adelaide:-

At the Cat Fanciers' show on 30 May, Lori Fergusson's Silver Somali spay, Gr Pr Vivace Mi Querida was she was Best Desexed Gr 3 Cat (out of 30) in the one and only ring. Lori's "Darling" was bred by Evelyn & Rita Bruche from Gr Ch Vivace Sun King and Glenmaulyn Musicale.


 

In New Zealand:-

Stuart & Claudine Johnstone's Tawny female kitten, Exodus Black Pearl, was Best SH Kitten (out of 9) in one of the four rings of the North Otago Cat Fanciers' show on 8 May. She comes from a mating of Gold Dbl Gr Ch Riverfern Eagle Warrior (Imp UK) and Dbl Gr Ch Exodus Penzance Treasure, and is shown below with visiting Australian judge Nick Tricarico, who "put her up to it".


 

In Canberra:-

Many Abys and Somalis did wonderfully at The Abyssinian Breeder show on 15 May. The top 10 exhibits in each ring are listed and shown at Show Photos. The ones who did best of all appear below, represented by their owners.

1. Ben White and Wendy Newton's lovely Tawny boy, CCCA Gr Ch & Sil Dbl Gr Ch Johari All That Jazz, was Supreme Cat (out of 29) and Supreme Exhibit (out of 60). Jazzy was bred by Carol Collins from Sil Dbl Gr Ch Tijah Trail Blazer and Gr Ch Johari Spirit Of Kenya, and is represented below by Ben and Wendy, clutching some of the loot they won.

2.    Carol Collins, in addition to breeding Jazzy, is also the breeder and owner of the Tawny male, Johari Just In Time (same breeding as Jazzy), who was Supreme Kitten (out of 24); and of the Tawny female, Johari Nijeri (US Gr Ch, RW Wil-o-glen's Jules Verne (Imp USA X Ch Johari Denim N Lace), who was runner-up to Supreme Kitten. Carol is shown below with one of the rosettes she won.

3.    It is a bit hard to separate the next two, Sue Jentsch and Kaylie Goodrick! They travelled together from Melbourne in Kaylie's new cat truck (?!), and jointly won Runner-Up to Supreme Exhibit: Sue with her Tawny female cat, Ch Osiris(V) Prada (Gr Ch Osiris(V) Heart N Soul X Sapphire Gr Ch Osiris(V) Running Bear), and Kaylie with her Cinnamon female kitten, Narleekatz Aussie Influence, from Ch Osiris(V) Aussie Dream and Ch Osiris(V) Sweet Influence.

As well, Kaylie's Tawny neuter, Narleekatz Huey (CCCA Gr Ch & Sil Dbl Gr Ch Johari All That Jazz X Osiris(V) Sweet Influence) was Supreme Desexed Cat (out of 7), having won all three rings in that category. In Melbourne:-

Abys and Somalis performed exceptionally well at the CCCA National Show in Melbourne on 1-2 May. The best of them were:

1.    Sue Jentsch's Cinnamon female, Ch Osiris(V) Red Hot, was Best Aby Cat (out of 11) in two rings, Best Gr 3 Cat (out of 105), and Best Gr 3 Exhibit (out of 234) in those two rings. In one of the two rings she went on to be Supreme Exhibit in Show (out of 573). Dottie was bred by Sue from Gold Gr Ch Osiris(V) Cool Running and Osiris(V) Akecheta

2.    On a good day for gingers, Kaylie Goodrick's Cinnamon female, Narleekatz Roxy, was best Aby kitten (out of14) and Best Gr 3 Kitten in Show (out of 129) in One ring. She came in Kaylie's second-ever litter, and was bred from Gr Ch Osiris(V) Heart N Soul and Sil Gr Ch Nile Sunstone. In the photo, she is shown with Kaylie and US judge Pam DelaBar, who put her up.


3.    Ch Osiris(V) Prada, Sue Jentsch's Tawny female, was Best or runner-up Aby cat in five of the eight rings. She went on to be 4th Gr 3 Cat in two rings, 5th in one ring and 6th in another ring. She was bred by Sue from Gr Ch Osiris(V) Heart N Soul and CCCA Gr Ch & Sapphire Gr Ch Osiris(V) Running Bear, and despite appearances, is in the photo below ... somewhere.

4.    The best-performed Somali on the day was Lynn Moorman's  Tawny neuter, CCCA Gr Ch, Tpl Pr & Gold Gr Pr Joylincar un God Amun Ra, who was 3rd Gr 3 Desexed Cat (out of 38 in two rings, and place in the top 15 in the remaining six rings. Tarek, who became the first Somali Nat Sh Ch on the day, was bred by Carole Carroll from Diamond Gr Ch Kisompa's Calogero and Joylincar Koala Blue.



In Melbourne:-

Kaylie Goodrick and Sue Jentsch's new American import, Highgaitpaws Have A Chat (Imp USA) made an immediate splash at the Companion Cat Club show on 18 April, by being Best Gr 3 Cat (out of 44) and Best Gr 3 Exhibit (out of 91) in one of the two rings. This Tawny male was bred by Mindy Condon from Highgaitpaws Takachance Marzacknoll and Highgaitpaws Rumor Has It. He is shown below being held by the judge and flanked by his owners, looking cool at his first ever show.


 

In Brisbane:-

Michael Shawn's Tawny female kitten, Osiris(V) Influencedtothrill, also makes a reappearance on this page, which she earned by be3ing Best Gr 3 Kitten (out of 43), in three of the four rings at the CFCCQ Curly Coats sho; she was 3rd in the remaining ring.  Pixie was bred by Sue Jentsch from Osiris(V) Aussie Dream and Brz Gr Ch Osiris(V) Influenced Buyou.


 

In Sydney:-

Abys did extremely well at the Royal Kitten carnival - which is a 3-ring kitten show - on 11 April, filling nearly all of the top placings. Sue Hatcher's Tawny female kitten, Tijah Vanikoro, (details at No. 1 below), was best Gr 3 Female kitten (out of 40) in one ring. Carol Collins's Tawny female kitten, Johari Nijeri [(US) Gr Ch, RW Wil-o-glen's Jules Verne (Imp USA) X Johari Denim N Lace], was Best Gr 3 Female kitten in the other two rings. Then, Carol Collins's Tawny male, Johari Just In Time, was 3rd Gr 3 male kitten (out of 29) in one ring, and Best in the other two. In one of those rings, he went on to be Best Gr 3 Kitten (out of 75) and Best Overall Kitten (out of 151).

In Adelaide:-

Also at the FASA Southern Districts show on 4 April, Evelyn & Rita Bruche's Tawny male, Vivace The Joker, made his first appearance in 2010 top honours by being Best Gr 3 cat (out of 19) in one of the three rings. He was bred by Evelyn & Rita from Gr Ch Vivace Liberace and Brz Dbl Gr Ch Vivace Too Darn Hot.

At the FASA Southern Districts show on 4 April, Lori Fergusson's Tawny Somali neuter, Gold Dbl Gr Pr Vivace El Tigre De Oro, made an early reappearance on this page; he was Best Gr 3 Desexed Cat (out of 15) in two of the three rings rings . The photo below shows him with Lori.


 

In Sydney:-

7.    Finally on Sunday at the Royal, the previous days' winners came back for finals. When the dust settled, Carol Collins's Tawny male, Johari Just In Time (see No. 3 below) won Best Gr 3 Exhibit (out of 146). 

 

6.    Further on Sunday at the Royal, Sue Hatcher's. Tawny male, Tijah Storm Front, was best Gr 3 Male Cat (out of 27) in two of the three rings, and went on to be Best Gr 3 Cat (out of 61) in both of them, He comes from a mating of Johari Soul Mate and Tijah Queen Of Hearts. He is shown here with Judge Rhondda Watson.

 

5.    Again on the Sunday, George & Julie Kennedy's Tawny female, Dbl Gr Ch Osiris(V) Sioux City Sue, was Best Gr  3 Female Cat (out of 34) in one of the three rings, "Suzie" was bred by Sue Jentsch from Gr Ch Rififi of Wonderlove (Imp GER) and  and CCCA Gr Ch & Sapph Gr Ch Osiris(V) Running Bear.

 

4.    On the Sunday at the Royal, Ben White & Wendy Newton's. Tawny Neuter, CCCA Ch & Brz Dbl Gr Ch Osiris(V) Royal Doulton, was Best Gr 3 Neuter Cat (out of 12) in two of the three rings, "Willow" was bred by Sue Jentsch from Ch Osiris(V) Chief Redbull and Ch Tijah Porcelain Blue.

 

3.    Finally on Saturday at the Royal, Carol Collins's Tawny male, Johari Just In Time, got a 1st, a 2nd and a 3rd placing among the Gr 3 Male Kittens (out of 17), and went on to be Best Overall Gr 3 Kitten (out of 64) in one ring. Carol bred Justin from Sil Dbl Gr Ch Tijah Trail Blazer and Gr Ch Johari Spirit Of Kenya.

 

2.    Also on Saturday at the Royal, George & Julie Kennedy's Tawny female kitten, Kemenkat Wind Dancer (Imp NZ), was Best Gr 3 Female Kitten in one ring and 3rd in another. "Winnie" was bred in Christchurch by Gail Warwick, from (UK) Gr Ch & Gold Dbl Gr Ch Riverfern Eagle Warrior (Imp UK) & Dbl Gr Ch Nile Morganite.

 

 

1. Group 3 exhibits appeared over two days at Royal Easter Show, on 3/4-Apr-10, and did extremely well. On the Saturday, Sue Hatcher's Tawny female kitten, Tijah Vanikoro, was Best Gr 3 Female Kitten (out of 40) in one of the three rings. She comes from a mating of (US) Gr Ch, RW Wil-o-glen Jules Verne (Imp USA) and Johari Chiquita.

 

In Melbourne:-

At the North Western A/B show on 28 March, Melissa Mitchell's Tawny female, Osiris(V) Bling, was Best Gr 3 Cat (out of 12) and Best Gr 3 Exhibit (out of 50). She comes from a mating of Gr Ch Osiris(V) Perfect Dream and Tijah Porcelain Blue. The photo was taken by Karel Pittaway.

 

In Melbourne:-

Sue Jentsch's Tawny male, Gr Ch Osiris(V) Heart N Soul, seems to be specialising in the  Best Gr 3 Cat category. Following his success at the Peninsula CC show earlier in the month, he did it again in Ring 2 of the Mountain District March Show on 28 March, this time out of 52 exhibits. He was bred by Sue from from Gr Ch Rififi of Wonderlove (Imp GER) and Ch Tijah Porcelain Blue.

 

In Adelaide:-

Lori Fergusson's Tawny Somali neuter, Gold Dbl Gr Pr Vivace El Tigre De Oro, who was our Desexed Cat of the Year in 20009, has now started 2010 in style, being Best Gr 3 Desexed Cat (out of 11) in both rings of the GCSA Mid-Northern Valleys show on 21 March. He was bred by Evelyn & Rita Bruche Sil Dbl Gr Ch Vivace Virtuoso and Ikati Big Spender.


 

In Perth:-

Helen Norwood had two big successes at the COAWA Burmese & Other Breeds show on 21 March. The first came with her Tawny neuter, ACF AoE & Dmd Gr Pr Jodaerin Armani, who was Best OFSH Dsx Cat (out of 7) in all three rings. Shown below left, Armani was bred by Helen from Gr Ch Johari Africander and Ruby Gr Ch Taliz Cracklin Rosie. Helen's Tawny female kitten, Jodaerin Rhythm Of Our Heart won in only one ring, but it was a big win: In that ring, she was not only Best OFSH Kitten (out of 17), but also Best Overall Kitten in Show (out of 53). He comes from a mating of Gr Ch Johari At First Sight and Gr Ch Jodaerin Annilese, and is show below right.


     

 

In Goulburn, NSW:-

In her first show, at the Goulburn APH Soc. show on 20 March, George & Julie Kennedy's Tawny female, Kemenkat Wind Dancer (Imp NZ) was Best Gr 3 Kitten (out of 29) in two of the three rings. Winnie was bred in Christchurch by Gail Warwick, from Gold Dbl Gr Ch & (UK) Gr Ch Riverfern Eagle Warrior (Imp UK) and Dbl Gr Ch Nile Morganite (Imp AUS). She is shown here with judge Fiona Mangan.


 

In Adelaide:-

Two of Evelyn & Rita Bruche's cats did well at the FASA  Siamese Cat Club show on 15 March. Shown below left, their Tawny Aby male, Gold Dbl Gr Ch Vivace Orpheus, who was best Gr 3 cat (out of 14)  in one ring and 2nd in the other ring. He comes from a mating of Glenmaulyn Mr Mercury and Merindalee Exotic Dances. (very many titles) Vivace Hazy Shade Of Winter was Best Gr 3 Desexed Cat in one ring (out of 11). Hazy is a Silver spay bred by Evelyn and Rita from Dushara Silver Catch Who Can (Imp DNK) and Dushara Dirty Woman (Imp DNK).Somali. She is shown below right.


     

 

In Melbourne:-

At the (GCCFV) Peninsula Cat Club show on 14 March, Sue Jentsch's Tawny male, Gr Ch Osiris(V) Heart N Soul, was Best Gr 3 Cat (out of 33) and Best Gr 3 Exhibit (out of 77). He was bred by Sue from from Gr Ch Rififi of Wonderlove (Imp GER) and Ch Tijah Porcelain Blue.


 

In Sydney:-

Also at the Siamese & Shorthaired Show on 21 February, Carol Collins's young Tawny female, Johari Nijeri, was Best Gr 3 Female kitten (out of 28) in one of the three rings. She was bred by Carol from (US) Gr Ch, RW Wil-o-glen's Jules Verne (Imp USA) and Ch Johari Denim N Lace, and is shown below left. Not to be outdone, Carol's young Tawny male, Johari Just In Time, was Best Gr 3 Male Kitten (out of 11) in one ring and 2nd in the other two. He then went on to be 2nd Overall Kitten (out of 55). Just In Time is from the same breeding as Jazzy, and is shown below right.


     

 

In Sydney:-

At the Siamese & Shorthaired Show on 21 February, Ben White & Wendy Newton's Tawny male, CCCA Ch & Sil Dbl Gr Ch Johari All That Jazz was Best Gr 3 Male Cat (out of 13) in two of the three rings, and went on to be 2nd Overall Cat (out of 57). Jazzy was bred by Carol Collins from Sil Dbl Gr Ch Tijah Trail Blazer and Gr Ch Johari Spirit Of Kenya. He is shown below with Ben. Jazzy became a CCCA Gr Ch on the day.


 

In Brisbane:-

Michael Shawn's Tawny female kitten, Osiris(V) Influenced Tothrill, did exceptionally well at the QICC show on 14-Feb-10. She was best SH kitten (out of 19) in the first three rings, and in the all-breed ring, she was 2nd kitten overall. "Pixie" was bred by Sue Jentsch from Osiris(V) Aussie Dream and Brz Gr Ch Osiris(V) Influenced Buyou.


 

In Melbourne:-

Still at the 5-ring Pet & Animal Expo on 12/14-Feb-10, Sue Jentsch's Tawny female, Osiris(V) Prada, became the first "repeat offender" of the year when she was Best Gr 3 kitten (out of 34) in one ring and 3rd in three others. She was bred by Sue from from Gr Ch Osiris(V) Heart N Soul and CCCA Gr Ch & Sapphire Gr Ch Osiris(V) Running Bear.


 

In Melbourne:-

Also at the 5-ring Pet & Animal Expo on 12/14-Feb-10, Kaylie Goodrick's Tawny male, Narleekatz Huey, did very well, taking out Best Gr 3 Kitten (out of 34) in two rings and a 3rd in another ring. Huey was bred by Kaylie from CCCA Ch & Bronze Dbl Gr Ch Johari All That Jazz and Ch Osiris(V) Sweet Influence.


 

In Melbourne:-

At the 5-ring Pet & Animal Expo on 12/14-Feb-10, Sue Jentsch's Cinnamon female, Osiris(V) Redhot, was Best Gr 3 Cat (out of 16) in one ring, and also gained a 2nd and two 3rd placings. She comes from a mating of Gold Dbl Gr Ch Osiris(V) Cool Running and  Osiris(V) Akecheta.


 

In Melbourne:-

Osiris(V) Prada was Best Gr 3 Kitten (out of 47) in one of the two rings at the GCCFV Kitten and Neuter show on 31 January. She is a Tawny female owned by Sue Jentsch and bred by her from Gr Ch Osiris(V) Heart N Soul and CCCA Gr Ch & Sapphire Gr Ch Osiris(V) Running Bear. In the photo below, Prada is being judged by Sandra Weaver-Hall


 

In Sydney:-

At the Federal Kitten show on 31 January, Ben White & Wendy Newton's Nile Ghost Who Walks was Best Gr 3 Male Kitten out of 2w7 in one of the three rings. "Junior" was bred by George & Julie Kennedy from Nat Sh Ch, CCCA Tpl Gr Ch & Diamond Dbl Gr Ch Nile Phantom Of Hope and Gr Ch Osiris(V) Sioux City Sue. He is show below with Wendy.


 

In Brisbane:-

At the first show of the year, on 24-Jan-10, Christine Mangin's "Mimi" excelled herself - as she often did last year - by being Supreme SH Exhibit (out of 48) across the three rings of the show. Mimi is a Tawny spay, and was bred by Kerstin Jones from Zinnabar Cinnamon Daze and Dbl Gr Ch Asmara Opal Moon. Her full name is ACF AoE Gold, QFA Sapphire DGC, FCCQ Platinum DGC, QICC Diamond DGC Zinnabar Opal D’Noir, and you had better remember that, because I don't propose to type out all these titles again, this year :-)
